* While I was taking a shower this afternoon I thought of an idea for a cool set of dread falls for me. I think I will make them for Anime night at Manray. They won't take me that long to do so I can probably whip them up in the next couple of days.
* Last night Militart and I watched the X-Men movie since it was on TV. I love that movie.
It sucked watching it on TV since we had to deal with commercials, but we got to see previews for the new X-Men movie. The new one looks so damn cool! I can't wait until it comes out next month.
I wish I could look as cool as Storm does.
* I've also been researching more about what the fuck I want to do with my life. I really loved being a research assistant at my last job. I loved the research part of the work. So now I'm wondering if I should stick to that. I could get my Masters in Psychology at RIC for a cheap price. It would cost about $6,000 which isn't that bad. I would only be able to go part time so that price would be paid over 3-4 years.
But would a Masters in Psychology get me a higher up research job? Or would a Masters in Psychology be another pointless degree like my BA in Art Therapy?
I think I'm going to give up on the education psychology program because it would be too difficult to get certified to teach first. I basically would have to take a shit load of courses and to me that is so stupid since I don't want to teach. The only reason I would want to be certified would be in order to get into the educational psych program.
I also know I don't want my own practice or anything like that. I also don't want to be a social worker. The research part is what really interests me.
I've been trying to get another research assistant job but I haven't had any luck with that yet. Brown University is the one place that usually has a ton of research jobs but right now they are on a hiring freeze. :(
UPDATE:
I found out that the University of RI has a Masters and PH.D program in Experimental Psychology. After reading about this program a couple of times, I think I really do want to persue a higher level psychology research job. Maybe in a year, I will apply to this program or something like it (unless I somehow find myself in a decent higher level research type of job.)
I'll need a year to see if I can afford it and to study for the GRE Test. You need to get a pretty high score on teh GRE test to get in. And I HATE timed tests. My Undergrad GPA is fine though.

I'm not even going to look at Brown for graduate studies since there is no way I could afford it. I also don't think I would even get in. Plus I really don't want to take out any more loans since I already owe 17k.
I HATE that most schools are so expensive! I originally wanted to get my Masters in Art Therapy from Lesly College (One of the best schools for Art Therapy in the USA) but that school is 18k a year. All the schools for Art Therapy are in that price range too.
But sometimes I feel like I would be more likely to get a research job if I had more school. I went on a couple of interviews for research jobs and they said I didn't have strong enough research and statistical skills. So I'm thinking more education might help me with that.
Maybe I should have started looking for research jobs at hospitals and colleges in Boston. I mainly focused around here because the commute to Boston would be a pain in the ass.
What fields have you been searching in as far as research goes? Have you tried looking on http://boston.craigslist.org ?
Right now I want to do psychological research in a hospital, industry or academic environment.
Yeah I have looked on there before. It hasn't really helped me yet.
